Dog Days of Christmas
I don’t think this is how “dog days” is supposed to be used, but I couldn’t think of a catchy title. I finally got my tree all decorated and I’ve shared all of the dog ornaments along the way, but I wanted to share the final reveal.
Any of these ornaments would make a really great gift for the dog lovers in your life. Of course they could be adapted to cats, but the skinny tails are challenging. Plus, my cats just don’t appreciate me like the dog does.
The cats DO bring me gifts, like LIVE mice. Aren’t they supposed to kill mice? Mine seem to enjoy playing with them and leaving them half alive inside.
It’s easy to customize these with your own pattern and ribbon.
These take about half the time. You do have to buy the embroidery hoops, but they are really simple.
I hope you enjoy these and find something inspiration for your tree this year.
I didn’t share the dog bone garland on the tree. It’s easy to make this using stiff felt and some string. You can make this using a crochet needle strung through the bones.
